MEET LOVISA
Hi there! 👋  I'm an Östersund-born, Gothenburg-based product designer with a background in cognitive science.
I've always found psychology and the human mind to be interesting, which is why I chose to study cognitive science. During my bachelor's I've learned a lot about human perception, attention and behavior which which laid the foundation for a human centered approach. I carry with me this knowledge in user studies, when creating complex flows, in presentations and design handoffs.
During my time at ESSIQ as a product designer, I've learned how to make clear specifications and collaborate with developers (in a different time zone). I've learned that communication is key, and the importance of pausing for a moment and ask yourself why you are doing a certain thing in a certain way. I've also learned how to zoom out and look at the bigger picture of a project - while still keeping the details in mind!
My goal is to keep on learning and create products that are simple, yet intuitive and fun.
HOW I LEARN
For me it's important to stay humble and listen to what others have to say, from user research and user testing, to working with colleagues, reading blogs, and listen to podcasts. And of course, youtube is the go-to when it comes to improving my skills in different tools.
WHAT I CAN DO
I have experience working with teams to come up with concepts and prototypes. I can facilitate workshops and find patterns in the results. I can sketch and create wireframes at varying levels of fidelity, and I really enjoy prototyping, it helps me think through ideas and discover new possibilities.
Favorite softwares:
Figma & Figjam, Adobe XD, Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop.
I'm currently exploring Webflow, and I believe it will be a new favourite of mine!
Some things I have some experience of:
Jira, After Effects, Procreate, Trello, Balsamiq, Sketch, Adobe Animate and Miro
